A ministry of Calvary Chapel Sarasota, CCS provides a “Bible-based, academically sound education for children K4 through 8th grade”… and last Thursday was School Picture Day!
It’s a beautiful school with mural work in the hallways and a fantastic coffee shop in the church lobby. The coffee was voted the best cup of coffee in Sarasota! On top of that, students achieved SAT scores an average of 2.8 grade levels higher than the national norm.
Look out Starbucks because that must be some pretty good coffee.

Volunteer moms came to help on Picture Day at the Lab School.
Since it was raining like crazy outside, we photographed the students in front of our Garden background in the Gym. Lab School has a very pretty campus and we’re hoping to get back outside next year.

The students at St. Charles take school pictures very seriously… making sure everybody has combed hair and blue and yellow uniforms look neat.
Principal Linda Lacot is serving her 18th year at St. Charles School. She taught ages K-8 before becoming Principal in 2008.

Composed panoramic style, SSSAS students are photographed standing on the bleachers. It was an unusually hot day for mid-September, but jackets stayed on and the SSSAS banner stayed level.
SSSAS has four state-of-the-art regulation turf fields and this one is perfect for grade group pictures.

Each year Immanuel Christian School faculty shows their spirit and assembles outside for the annual faculty group picture. This year, Splendid Portraits Photographer Bob B. put together a beautiful portrait that really captures the relaxed environment of the school.
Established in 1976 as a ministry of Immanuel Bible Church, IMS has grown to serve more than 250 families and 80 area churches. Spacious, modern facilities at Immanuel Bible Church include library, gym, playground, athletic field, computer and science labs.
The school mission is “To assist parents in providing a sound education for their children through the integration of faith and learning.”

Maret School, now approaching its 100th anniversary, choose to photograph it’s students in front of the historic Woodley house on a picture perfect day.
It’s a technically difficult image because the background is light and the foreground is in the shade. Splendid photographer Ilse E. did great work.

British School faculty pose for their annual faculty picture outside their campus building in August. It’s a technically difficult picture because we take the picture in direct sunlight and everyone needs to be eluminated evenly. Splendid photographer Ilse E. always manages to pull it off.
